Loaded Who??
A little about me: I spent 20+ years in corporate America following the advice of my parents to work hard, stay in a job long enough to retire and then live….happily?? The reality is we end up with more debt than we know what to do with and in most cases end up working most of our lives just to catch up.
Like a blindfolded donkey following the smell of the carrot – only to find out once the blinders are removed that the carrot is too small to provide any significant nourishment. That’s how I feel about my experience working hard in corporate America.
I am a single dad raising my 8yr old daughter – Allison – alone trying to make a life for us. I will be honest and say it is tougher than I had imagined but I do not regret for one second being a single father. Raising my daughter has been the best job in the world and in the grand scheme of things, her happiness and well being are my main focus.
So now that I have an online presence, albeit one that is in its infancy, I’m getting the question with greater frequency. You know the question. LoadedBeachBum?? What’s that? Are you a bum? Are you really loaded? LoL.
Actually, the reasons are really quite simple and to begin, no I am not loaded – YET! But I’m on my way.
I would like to work hard to get to a place where I can be a ‘beach bum’ that is loaded; someone who has the freedom to choose what to do rather than having someone else make that choice. I got the idea from another site called loaded something or other.
My goal here is to provide you with FREE (yes, that is FREE) tools and resources to help you launch or expand upon your online business interests. While I am relatively new (a little over 2 years with phenomenal results) to online marketing, I have learned that you do not need to spend THOUSANDS to successfully get off the ground and start building your business.
There are hundreds of no cost tools to help you get started – from blogs, to keyword research, analytics, audio, video capture, articles, and so much more.
I have made a commitment to post at least one piece of content regularly that will include free resources you can use to get started. Oh and lest I forget, this blog is in what I call ‘beta’ mode as I am transitioning from another blog platform to Wordpress so bear with me as I work out the process. As you will soon find out, it is very easy to get distracted with a multitude of updates, posts, Facebook messages, etc…
